Soleil Slater

LCSW #119805 // Owner, Therapist

Hi there! My name is Soleil and I am the founder and owner of Sunny Days Therapy Group, my online private practice based out of Southern California. I am so glad you’re here, and would love to tell you a bit more about me.

I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2023, and have been working in the mental health field since 2018. My own experiences with anxiety and other mental health struggles brought me to the incredible field of therapy and psychology. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of San Francisco in 2018, my Master in Social Work from California State University, Northridge in 2020, and currently have my Certified Youth Mental Health Specialist certification. Working with a wide range of diagnoses and ages has given me a unique perspective on how mental health impacts people at any and all stages of life. I absolutely love working with my clients to achieve their goals, whatever that looks like to them.

I often help with anxiety, relationship difficulties, ADHD, life transitions, infertility, and pregnancy/postpartum anxiety and depression. Many of my clients come in looking to find out what is causing their distress, process their experiences, then find practical change for their behavior. During our initial sessions, we will build a relationship and create a plan that addresses your symptoms and overall goals for therapy. I pride myself in being honest with you as we chart a new way forward together. I have additional training in anxiety in teens and adults, interpersonal relationship and parenting struggles, as well as postpartum depression and anxiety. I am an ally and create a safe space for my clients who identify themselves in the LGBTQIA+ community. My clients say my approach in session is warm, honest, reflective, and personal.

Although I typically use ACT, CBT, attachment-based, and emotionally focused therapy, the type of therapy used is dictated by you and your individual goals. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach because every person is unique in their goals, lived experiences, and current environment. If one approach isn't working, we try another until you see positive change.

Now for some fun facts about me: I met my husband in junior high school, I have one child who is my pride and joy, I have two corgis who are sisters, I love to crochet, bake, and read (when I have free time), and I am a big time sports fan!
